A new server location in Montreal

For deals involving Canadian companies, investors or advisors, where your documents are stored can matter as much as who has access to them. Ideals VDR now offers a data storage location in Montreal, which gives you a Canadian hosting option for new projects.

When you create a new project, Montreal now appears in the server location list alongside our existing locations. The list adapts to where you’re working from. Users in Canada see Montreal first, and users in the US see it right after Columbus. You can also select Montreal in project templates, and it’s shown anywhere server location appears in project exports.

If your company’s default room settings allow all server locations, Montreal is added automatically, so administrators don’t need to update anything.

Projects on the Montreal server work the same way as projects on any other location. That includes Q&A with similar question suggestions, document summaries, AI translation, and MCP access.

This matters most when data needs to stay in Canada. Examples include a sell-side mandate for a Canadian business, a fundraise with Canadian institutional investors, or a cross-border transaction where parties ask for local compliance. In each case, your team can meet the requirement from day one without giving up any of the tools it relies on to run diligence.
